Trailing in the polls, Democrat Ned Lamont called the Iraq conflict Sen. Joe Lieberman’s “war of choice” and compared his rival to former Republican President Nixon.

Meanwhile, over on the Left Coast, the Democrat candidate for Governor of California, Phil Angelides, has a new TV campaign commercial Always On which begins with a “Dump Nixon” poster from the past.

Voiceover: In 1972, a young man from California saw a sign that changed his life forever, and inspired him to make a difference.

These two must be really desperate.
