Remember the flap over the 2 1/2 minutes of footage that was edited out of the docudrama “Path to 9/11″? [sidenote: it was about a month after the movie aired when I finally got to watch it - it was very well done, in my opinion, and completely unworthy of the claims that is was a strictly partisan hack job against the left]

HotAir has what they think is the edited scene (see here). Hardly earth-shattering.

Update: Here’s a Sean Hannity clip which shows the edited portions.

Slicing a tangent here, there’s a post at The Belmont Club which addresses the reluctance of Hollywood to portray the war on terror for what it really is. Wretchard links to an op-ed by Andrew Klavan, at the L.A. Times (?!), in which Klavan writes,

In order to honestly dramatize the simple truth about this existential struggle, you have to depict right-minded Americans — some of whom may be white and male and Christian — hunting down and killing dark-skinned villains of a false and wicked creed. That’s what’s happening, on a good day anyway, so that’s what you’d have to show.

Moviemakers are reluctant to do that because, even though it’s the truth, on screen it might appear bigoted and jingoistic. You can call that political correctness or multiculturalism gone mad — and sure, there’s a lot of that going around.

Iraq is a mess in 2007. The next presidential election is in 2008. However, will the presidential election of 2012 reflect the effects of a multiculturalism gone wild mentality of the American people?

George Bush could care less about Osama. He even said so at one point. Remember? He only has a problem with Al Qaida when they get in the way of his lust for oil in Iraq. Otherwise, Osama is not a player.

So really, movies have no impact on the “war on terror”. White male Christians don’t go around attacking countries with excuses like WMD’s and for oil. White male Christians believe in separation of church and state knowing that Jesus said His kingdom was NOT of this world.
