Kudos to conservatives Joe Carter,

There really is no excuse for accepting her as one of our own. Perhaps if she had keen insight and a rapier wit, her cutting barbs might be endurable. But Coulter’s “humor” slices like a shard from a Mountain Dew bottle found on a meth lab floor. Her remarks leave jagged gashs that grow infected and fester with pus, infecting all of us in the process.

Mary Katharine,

You shouldn’t have to go to psych eval for using it, but it’s a nasty word. Just don’t.

Dean Barnett,

It’s not a lack of intelligence. It’s an indifference to self-control and a preening sort of narcissism that compels her to need the spotlight, even if it’s unflattering.

Bryan Preston,

I’m no fan of John Edwards, but that’s just a stupid joke. It’s over the line. The laughter it generated across the room was more than a little annoying.

Rod Dreher,

How, exactly, do we conservatives protest against the kind of bigoted garbage that Amanda Marcotte and Melissa McEwan were upchucking against Catholics and other Christians if we accept Coulter’s offensive shtick? Ann Coulter has been very funny in the past, but this is indefensible, and one wishes she would either grow up or shut up.

and, yes, even Hugh Hewitt

When Coulter employed the f-word to abuse a candidate, she made herself radioactive because the word is a simply invitation to hate. It was repulsive.

for their quick and decisive denunciation of Ann Coulter’s obscene behavior at CPAC.

I hate it when liberals say stupid things, too. It’s embarrassing and degrading.

For instance, while I believe that Howard Dean did a masterful job strategizing the November 2006 elections, I’ve been horrified by some of his dumb utterances.

(Remember when he said Job was his favorite New Testament book?)

It happens. It doesn’t matter what an Ann Coulter says, as long as other conservatives promptly speak up with their disagreement with her words.

  2. Ron Ballew Says:

Thanks, Rusty. I’m tired of Ann.

  3. Alan Roberts Says:

Thank GOD there are at least a few people like Ann Coulter in this country who refuse to capitulate to political correctness. The conservative movement needs people willing to fight for what is right and not crumble in the face of every baseless accusation of “intolerance”

  4. Rusty Lopez Says:

    Alan,

My post isn’t about intolerance, it’s about obscene behavior. Coulter’s actions were not funny and were not the actions of a serious person.
